This policy describes our privacy practices and it is meant to inform you how we process personal data you share with us.

1. Information we collect We collect and process data necessary to the proper functioning of the FriDate application. It can be information you share with us directly or data we collect automatically.
The information you give us when you create an account includes the following data: your first and last name, your gender, photo (your public Facebook profile picture) as well as other photos uploaded, your birthdate (only your age, as deduced from the birthday, will be visible to other members), some additional information, such as details on your interests. These data will be visible to the other users of the FriDate app and sharing them is mandatory. If you contact us directly, we collect the information you give us during the interaction.
In addition to the information you provide us directly, we may collect information about you from other users if they contact us about you. You also will be able to use your Facebook Login to create and log into your FriDate account. This allows you to share some information from your social media account (user name, e-mail, profile photo) with us (especially your Facebook profile photo as mentioned above). You will be able to use chat so we will process data of your chat activities including conversations.
When you use FriDate app we collect some information automatically. When you access the app, data such as your registration date, last connection and the type and number of interactions with other users may be collected and processed. If you give us permission, we can collect your precise geolocation to identify your distance to other users who agreed to be geolocated. You are free to withdraw your consent at any time and disable your smartphone’s geolocation option. We collect information from the devices and equipment you use to access our app including IP addresses, the app version, mobile model, mobile ID, language used, operating system, application crashes, and advertisement ID. Data may be collected with cookies.
2. How we use information collected
The data collected by FriDate allows us to provide the services and make sure the app is running properly. Your data is therefore processed for the creating and managing your user account, geolocating, sending notifications regarding the services or your interactions with other users. Contact you via e-mail or application itself.
We can use collected data to improve our services, to prevent, detect and fight fraud or other illegal or unauthorized activities and to ensure legal compliance. The users can withdraw the data processing consent at any time but the withdrawal of the consent does not affect the processing carried out before the withdrawal.
3. How we share information collected
Your data that appears on your FriDate profile will be visible to other users. We recommend being careful with your information publicly viewable. Only authorized FriDate managers process users’ personal data and have access to the data necessary to perform their duties. We may also disclose your information if necessary to comply with legal requirements.
4. How long information is stored
We keep your personal data as long as required in order for you to use FriDate account. We delete or anonymize your information upon deletion of your account and as permitted by applicable law.
FriDate undertakes to make every effort and to invest all means at its disposal to guarantee that the stored data is as secure as possible. However, it is your responsibility to take appropriate measures to protect your data.
FriDate is restricted to users who are minimum 18 years old. We do not permit users under the age of 18. If you suspect that a user is under the age of 18, please inform us directly.
5. User’s rights
Every user has a right to access, rectify, and a right to data portability and removal of his/her personal data, along with a right to contest or limit the processing of his/her personal data.
You can access, rectify or delete information that you provided via the app. You can also change your settings on your device to either consent or oppose the collection of the information. You can delete your account directly on the FriDate app. You can stop the collection of data by uninstalling the app. You have a right to lodge a complaint with the appropriate data protection authority if you have concerns about how we process your personal information.
These rights may only be exercised within the limits of FriDate’s resources as it relates to its use of Facebook Connect. Some of the data is sent to FriDate by Facebook Connect and cannot be corrected without Facebook’s assistance.
6. Personal Data Protection Policy amendments
FriDate AS has the right to update this policy at any time. You will be informed about the updates on the FriDate application so you will have the opportunity to review the changes. The new policy will be effective immediately for all users. Should you not agree with changes made to the policy, you can terminate the services by deleting your account or uninstall FriDate app.
